Christian Anderson, TrumpetChristian is an active freelance musician in Chicago and the surrounding area. He is a member of the South Bend Symphony and the Wisconsin Philharmonic, and performs regularly with many of the region’s major orchestras. His teachers include John Hagstrom, Hans Peter Schuh and Randy Grabowski. |

Steve Castles, TrumpetSteve grew up in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. He graduated from DePaul University in Chicago with a B.M. in Trumpet Performance and a B.M. in Music Education. His major teachers include John Hagstrom, Tage Larsen, Matthew Lee, and Kris Dahlin. |
Julia Filson, HornJulia is happy to be in her second season with the Oistrach Symphony Orchestra. She received her BM in horn performance from Indiana University, and is pursuing her MM at DePaul University. While in Chicago, Julia has played with a variety of ensembles including the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the Chicago Children’s Choir, Depaul University’s Ensemble 20+, and theChicago Classical Philharmonic. |

Chelsea French, TromboneChelsea received a Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance degree from DePaul University under the tutelage of Mark Fisher and Charles Vernon, and received her Master of Music degree from Northwestern University studying under Michael Mulcahy and Randall Hawes. She has won several prestigious solo competitions including the National Trombone Solo Competition and the International Trombone Association’s Marstellar Competition. She is an active member of the International Chamber Artists and is on faculty at the Music Institute of Chicago. |

Rachel Levin, TromboneRachel is a native of the Chicago area and graduated from Oberlin Conservatory with a bachelors degree in trombone performance in 2008. She is currently finishing her masters in trombone performance at Depaul University under the guidance of Charles Vernon and Mark Fisher. She has performed with the Chicago Symphony’s MusicNOW series, as well as playing in the pit orchestra at the Drury Lane theater in Oakbrook. |

William Russell, TubaWilliam has performed and toured extensively with the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia of Rome. Also, if you listen hard enough, you might be able to hear him playing 2nd tuba in the CSO’s 2008 recording of Shostakovitch 4. When he’s not rocking out on the tuba, William enjoys listening to the music of Frank Zappa, cheering for LSU football, and eating Cincinnati-style chili. |

Anna Suechting, HornAnna earned her Bachelors degree in music performance from Lawrence University and a Masters from DePaul. She has performed with the 2010 and 2011 Lucerne Festival Orchestra under the baton of Pierre Boulez, and has performed locally with the Illinois Symphony, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Quad City Symphony, Peoria Symphony, and V3nto brass trio. In addition to performing with her horn, Anna teaches both horn and fiddle and plays shows with the Barehand Jugband. |
